Things are constantly changing in the online world at a seemingly rapid pace. Sometimes it’s incredibly difficult to keep up with everything that’s important out there! But one of the most important changes this month in the online sphere is Google changing its algorithm for search engine results.

This was just announced from Google: Starting April 21, we will be expanding our use of mobile-friendliness as a ranking signal. This change will affect mobile searches in all languages worldwide and will have a significant impact in our search results. Consequently, users will find it easier to get relevant, high quality search results that are optimized for their devices.

To sum up their press release, having a mobile responsive website not only makes it easy for the end user to read the content, but it will have a big effect on whether or not you are going to be found in a Google search result at all. Non-responsive websites will be “punished” with a lower ranking in search engine rankings.

The good news is that all of the websites we design here at EZY Marketing are mobile responsive websites! We’ve made that our central focus in our designs for the past year! Give us a call if you have questions about your site, or would like to know if you can adapt your site to fit the new requirements. Call Catrine or Jessica today at 904-269-8630.
